This immersive full-day camp is specially designed for students in Grades 3 to 6 who have a keen interest in Japanese culture, language, and pop culture.

Learn Japanese with Pokémon! We make language learning incredibly fun! Campers will master basic Japanese phrases, greetings, and characters alongside their favorite Pokémon characters through games and interactive stories.
Hands-On Cultural Discovery: From traditional arts and crafts to modern culture, every day is packed with thrilling activities that bring the richness of Japan to life.
No Prior Experience Needed! Absolute beginners are welcome. We provide a friendly, supportive environment where children with zero Japanese background can thrive and build confidence.

Cancellation Policies:

A full refund will be given if you cancel by midnight June 30 2026 due to personal reasons. No refunds will be given after that date.
If the camp is cancelled by EJCA due to insufficient number of participants or for any other reason, a full refund will be given.

Teen Summer Camp: Japanese Language, Culture & The Ultimate Ramen Week!

Looking for an extraordinary summer experience that combines culture, language, and amazing food? The Edmonton Japanese Community Association (EJCA) is thrilled to welcome teenagers to our highly anticipated, week-long Japanese Summer Camp!

Our camp is specifically designed for teens who want to dive into the vibrant world of Japan through high-energy, hands-on activities. It’s not just a language class—it’s a memorable summer adventure where campers make lifelong friends and discover the rich traditions of Japan.

✨ 2026 Special Theme: The Ultimate Ramen Experience!

Ramen is a global favorite, and this year, we are taking it to the next level. Campers will learn to make different styles and flavors of authentic ramen every single day! From crafting the perfect broth to understanding regional varieties, your teen will become a true ramen connoisseur.

Bonus : By the end of the week, your will have the skills and confidence to recreate these delicious, authentic ramen bowls at home for the whole family to enjoy!

Camp Highlights Include:

Daily Culinary Workshops: Cooking and tasting various flavors of Ramen!
Martial Arts: Feel the energy and discipline with a traditional Karate session.
Traditional Arts: Discover the elegance of Ikebana (Flower Arranging) and the tranquility of a Japanese Tea Ceremony.
Fun Language Lessons: Learn practical Japanese through immersive games, stories, and collaborative group activities.
