| The Japanese Calligraphy Club |
The Japanese Calligraphy Club (Edmonton Keifukai) is a correspondence class to study and practice the art of calligraphy. The Keifukai style of calligraphy includes Japanese poems such as “haiku” and “waka” using elegant “kana” letters and “kanji” characters. Each member submits the work based on samples come from Japan every month. A calligraphy master in Japan then reviews the work and returns with comments. To become a member, you require some experience in calligraphy as there is no master in the club. 書道クラブ（エドモントン景風会）は、日本の先生による通信指導を受けています。俳句や和歌をかなと漢字で書いたり、漢詩を漢字で書いたりします。 毎月課題を練習し日本へ郵送すると、日本の先生が添削をしてくださいます。 会には直接指導する先生がいないので、入会のためにはある程度の書道の経験（例えば小・中学の授業で書道をしたことがある）が必要です。 例会：毎月第4日曜日 12時30分ー2時30分 場所：EJCA会館 | 連絡先 連絡先：吉田 恵子 メール: hikay@shaw.ca |
