An exciting cultural performance featuring Tate (Japanese stage combat) with the powerful sounds of Taiko drums and the elegant tones of Shinobue flute!

Tate" (殺陣) is a mix of martial arts and dance-like choreography. What is Tate(殺陣)?

Every move has a meaning. Every strike tells a story. Hitotose has been training hard to show you the true beauty of the Katana.

Exclusive Post-Show Q&A: Go Behind the Blade and Yukata Experience & Selfies                                   Curious about the history of the Katana or how they choreograph high-speed battles? After the performance, we’ll host an interactive Q&A session. This is your chance to ask our performers anything about the world of "TATE" and the secrets of the Samurai!

Performed by Vancouver-based tate group Hitotose, whose members also appeared as actors in Disney+'s "SHOGUN".

Vancouver-based samurai sword performance group. They share Japanese samurai culture through katana and acting. They played Takemaru (Yuki) and Natsu no Kata (Haruno) in Disney+'s SHOGUN将軍.
