EJCA's next film screening is back by popular request, with a choice of delicious bento!

“Supermarket Woman” is a delightful comedy by director Juzo Itami, following a spirited housewife who helps revive a struggling local supermarket with her honesty, creativity, and unstoppable energy. Filled with humor, warmth, and sharp observations about everyday life in Japan, the film celebrates community spirit and the joy of working together to make something better.

The film is subtitled in English and is suitable for mature teens to adults.  It contains slapstick violence, some sexual innuendos and moments of nudity.  There is some smoking/drinking and mild profanity.

You can come to the screenings with or without a Bento order. As usual, popcorn and beverages are free with or without Bento order.

2026年6月の映画上映会　”スーパーの女”

（EJCAメンバーとその同伴者に限定）

伊丹十三監督の『スーパーの女』は、元気で前向きな主婦が、つぶれかけたスーパーを知恵と行動力で立て直していく姿を描いた、ユーモアと温かさあふれるコメディです。日本の日常生活への鋭い観察と、地域のつながりや協力する楽しさが軽やかに描かれ、観る人を明るい気持ちにしてくれる作品です。

本作品は英語字幕付きで、ティーン以上の方に適した内容です。ドタバタ的な暴力表現や軽い性的なニュアンス、一部に裸の場面があります。また、喫煙・飲酒の描写と軽い不適切表現が含まれます。
