The Edmonton Japanese Community Association (EJCA) has called Argyll home for the last 30 years. Argyll Community League (ACL) has enjoyed the many benefits of sharing our space with their programs and activities. The EJCA contributes to the ongoing viability of ACL by helping with management, coordinating programming, and fund raising. Our partnership began in 1994 and this year we are planning to celebrate 30 years together with a special event.
This is an opportunity to learn more about the ACL/EJCA partnership and enjoy some fun as we celebrate this very successful partnership.

Please join the Garden party at 1:00 pm at the Centre, or a bit earlier if you want to see the bicycle parade. Presidents from ACL and EJCA will be making short speeches reinforcing our commitment to work together in coming years. There will be a social opportunity to meet EJCA and ACL members.

If your children can join the Bicycle Parade, please see the message below.
The parade of bicycles will offer kids an opportunity to decorate their “ride” or put on a costume, and ride with their family in the parade. No registration will be necessary, just show up at the starting point on 69 Avenue before noon and get into the crowd. Then the parade will travel along 69 Avenue to the Community Courtyard where there will be treats and a ceremony where both organizations will pledge to continue our partnership for the next 5 years.
- At about 12:30, bikes and hand pulled wagons should collect for the parade. Come to the marshalling area at 85 St and 69 Ave.
- The parade will go from here to the Courtyard next to the hall.
- Parents can cheer from the sidewalks!
- Some prizes will be awarded for the best decorated bike or wagon, and costume.
- Treats and refreshments will be served at the Courtyard.
- You might want to bring a lawn chair!

2024年は、EJCAがアーガイル・コミュニティ・リーグ（ACL）の会館を増改築して共同運営を始めた1994年から30年目、記念の年にあります。ALCとEJCAのような協会が協力して会館を運営しているのは、エドモントンではもちろん、カナダの中でも大変ユニークな活動です。この30年をお祝いしこれからも良い関係を続けていくように祝賀会を行います。祝賀会といっても今回はとてもカジュアルに子供も楽しめる催しになりました。
どうぞ、9月7日(土) 1時に会館へお越しください。もし、子どもの自転車パレードをご覧になりたいようでしたら、ちょっと早めにお越しいただくとよいと思います。ACLとEJCAの会長から祝辞があります。EJCAとACLの皆様との社交の時間もあります。
