| Wakaba-Kai Japanese Dance Group 若葉会 日本舞踊グループ |
This group was established in 1977 under the umbrella of EJCA to acquire, to preserve and to enjoy Japanese Traditional Dance to promote the awareness and understanding of Japanese Heritage. Whenever opportunities arise, the group performs and participates in the event. The group practices every Monday and having small recitals (Osarai-kai) in Summer and Winter. Through practice, they learn not only dance itself but also traditional music, manners, customs of Japanese Culture as well as physical exercise. 若葉会は1977年に伝統的な日本舞踊を保持し、広め、楽しむ会として始まりました。機会がある毎にいろいろな行事に参加して、日本舞踊を披露しています。
毎月曜日に練習し、夏と冬におさらい会をしています。練習を通して、踊りだけでなく、日本の伝統音楽や文化を知り、運動にもなっています。 練習したい方はどなたでも歓迎しますが、日本語が少しわかると便利です。 |
